Dorothy Louise Spence was born August 1st, 1936 to Rossie Driskell and Maude Driskell, in Mobile, AL where she was a devoted wife, mother of 3, grandmother of 5, and great-grandmother of 6 with two on the way; which were her greatest joy. Dorothy's ability to nurture and love were some of her greatest strengths. She spent a lifetime of selfless devotion to her family and friends creating everlasting memories we all hold dear. Dorothy was a wonderful woman, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, best friend, ... and backbone to her family. She passed away peacefully August 31st, 2022 to be with our Lord. Although she will be missed, Dorothy's memory lives on in the many hearts she touched over her 86 wonderful years. Dorothy is survived by her sister Remola Morris; her children Dwight Spence, Sonya Spence, Steve Spence; her grandchildren Olivia Hebenstreit, Adam Spence, Scott Spence, Taylor Northan, Michael Spence; her great grandchildren Andrew Spence, Oliver Hebenstreit, Brayden Spence, Gracie Spence, Carter Spence, and Rory Hebenstreit. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ollie N. Spence; her siblings, Earl Driskell, Otto Driskell, Helen Gatchel, Anna Young; and her grandson Jeffery Spence. Dorothy's love for family and fellowship led to many spectacular Sunday afternoon meals. The lessons learned, and the stories told during those special times will be cherished by her loved ones forever. As taught by her lord and savior, she provided comfort and security to all her family and friends. She is now home watching over us, just as always.
