Dothan Elroy Morgan, Jr. also known as “Rocky” passed away on September 17, 2025, at the age of 66. Dothan was a resident of Mobile, Alabama for 66 years and was a member of the Semmes First Baptist Church. Dothan graduated from the University of South Alabama, where he was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity. He received a Bachelor’s degree in geology and became a Geologist for S.S.R. Oil Inc. in Kentucky. Dothan later earned his law degree from Jones School of Law in Montgomery, Alabama. Dothan was an attorney, he practiced law with the law firm of Agee and Meriwether, P.C. from 1994 to 2018. Dothan was preceded in death by his parents, Dothan Elroy Morgan, Sr. and Mabel McKenzie Morgan. He is survived by his two sisters, Scarlett O’Linda Morgan and Shannon Morgan Bangerter, his only nephew, Phillp Wayne Bangerter Jr.; the family dogs, Cotton and Calico; other relatives and friends.
