Entrance to Mobile Memorial GardensA chapel service for Edly Lewis will be held at 2:00PM on Monday, 12/29/2014  from Mobile Memorial Garden Funeral Home followed by a committal service at the grave site.

Jan. 2, 1923-Dec. 24, 2014 Edly Alvin “Pat” Lewis, 91, a native and lifelong resident of Mobile, AL, died Wednesday, December 24, 2014 after a brief illness. He was a member of Cottage Hill Baptist Church for 57 years and retired as Business Agent for Brick Masons’ Local #2. Pat was a WWII Veteran and was a part of the invasion at Normandy. He will be interred with military honors. He loved spending time with family and friends. His parents and all of his siblings preceded him in death. He is survived by his loving wife of 74 years, Clara Lee Pierce Lewis; his daughter, Pamela Lewis-Johnson; his granddaughter, Megan Johnson; his great-granddaughter, Abby Conn; other relatives and friends. A special thank you is given to Matt Brown RN of Gentiva Hospice for his dedicated care and family support. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Mr. Lewis’ name to Volunteers of America, Eagle’s Landing, 6501 Moffett Road, Mobile, Alabama 36618. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 29, 2014 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 PM. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
