Edna Harmon Williamson, a longtime resident of Spanish Fort, Alabama, died peacefully at her residence in Pensacola, Florida on June 6, 2025. Edna was born in Detroit, Michigan to George Frank Harmon and Iva Tapp Harmon. She graduated from Augusta Tilghman High School in Paducah Kentucky, Georgetown College in Georgetown Kentucky and the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville Kentucky.
Edna was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Mobile, where she came as youth director in 1958 and met her husband of 60 years, John Edward Williamson. In later years, she taught at The Marietta Johnson School of Organic Education and served as a social worker for the Baldwin and Mobile County Departments of Human Resources. She enjoyed traveling with John, spending time with family, and watching and cheering for her Atlanta Braves. She is preceded in death by John Edward Williamson, her parents George and Iva Harmon, and her brothers Leo and Frank Harmon. She is survived by her sons Mark (Zoel) and Tim (Debra) Williamson, her daughter Mary Beth (Michael) King, and her four grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Mary Ellen Shemwell.

Visitation will be held at First Baptist Church of Mobile Saturday, June 14, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the church sanctuary beginning at 12:00 Noon. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
