Eloise "Ellie" Yount Mims, age 92, a resident of Mobile, AL passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2022. Ellie was born April 16, 1930 in Sarah, Mississippi. She is preceded in death by her husband, John F. Mims; son, John T. Mims. She is survived by her children, William E. Mims, David R. Mims, Debra J. Mims, and Jeffrey L. Mims; eight grandchildren, Casey Mims, Bryan Mims, Wyatt Mims, Wesley McGowin, Eric Mims, Jennifer Garriga, Carmen Caterson, and Amanda Mims; eight great-grandchildren; nieces, extended family in Mississippi, and friends. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be missed greatly.

A visitation for Ellie will be held Thursday, August 18, 2022 at 10:30 AM at Serenity Funeral Home, 8691 Old Pascagoula Road, Theodore, Alabama 36582. Following the visitation will be a graveside service at 1:00 PM at Mobile Memorial Gardens, 6100 Three Notch Rd, Mobile, AL 36619, where she will be laid to rest.
