Elvera Dobbs, 99, of Theodore, AL passed away on October 8, 2023, just 11 days shy of her 100th birthday.
Elvera was born in New York to Anthony and Madeline Laino along with her 8 siblings. She met her husband, Ralph, at a dance and he told her he was going to marry her. They spent 71 loving years together before he passed away in 2013. Elvera was devoted to her faith. She was active in the Catholic church and was a faithful member of St Vincent de Paul Parish.
Elvera is survived by her daughter, Andrea Mooney (John); 2 granddaughters, Melissa Marie Mooney and Nicole Ann Mooney; 1 brother, Richard Laino.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Melissa Marie Dobbs.

A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, October 12, 2023, at St. Vincent de Paul Parish in Mobile, AL at 10:30 am with Monsignor James Kee officiating. Her family will receive friends Wednesday October 11, 2023, at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm.
