Emmett Jefferson Anderson, Jr. - Age 89; Born in Jackson, MS February 18, 1931 and died March 4, 2020 in Mobile, AL. Mr. Anderson graduated from Central High School in Jackson MS (1949), was a veteran of the U.S. Navy (1950 -1952) and graduated from Loyola University of New Orleans. He worked for USAF as a civil employee at Brookley (1958–1962), and the US Customs Service (1962-1997). He was a member of St Dominic Catholic Church since 1963 and he served as Scout Master for Saint Mary Troop 9 and St Dominic Troop 143.
He is survived by: Dona Antoine Anderson his wife of 57 years; children: Peter Anderson (Cheri), Mike Anderson (Judy), Patrick Anderson (Freda); son-in-law, Sam Forbes; grandchildren: Jeffrey Anderson (Claire), Andrew Anderson, Wade Anderson, John Forbes, Caroline Forbes, Rachael Forbes, Mark Anderson, Lily Anderson, Amy Catherine Anderson, Cade Anderson, Daxton Anderson. Mr. Anderson was preceded in Death by: Emmett Jefferson Anderson, Sr. (Father), Zelpha Killam Anderson (Mother), Lottie Evans Anderson (Step Mother), Therese Anderson Forbes (Daughter). Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at: Saint Dominic Catholic Church at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 7, 2020 with visitation from 10:00 am until 11:00 am. Interment will be at Mobile Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St Dominic Catholic Church.
