Ernestine Sharp Hart, passed from this earthy life on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Ernestine was a member of Luke 4:18 Church, Mother was also, a member of Murphy High School’s Class of 1942 – known as “the class that went to war.” She was the Alumni, president for class projects which included the class of 42 reunions and tree plantings on the campus. Ernestine and her husband, Ivan were very involved in Phi Sig Chi high school fraternity. They loved their boys and chaperoned may dates and parties. She was an active member of a Ladies Mardi Gras Mystic Organization for more than 60 years. She attended balls from the 1940’s until she attended her last ball, the Crewe of Columbus in 2015. Mrs. Hart was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Ivan P. Hart, Sr.; a son and daughter – in –law, , Ivan P. Hart, Jr and Deanne Hart, also, preceding her in death are her parents, Charlie L. and Clara Wolfe Sharp and 2 sisters and brother – in - laws, Maggie Sharp (Burl) Garick and Helen Sharp (Joe) Morton. She is survived by her 2 sons, David S. Hart and George “Bucky” (Carolyn) Smith; her grandchildren, Ivan (Barbara) Hart, III., Kelly Ann (Calvin) Hart, Michael S. Hart, Guy (Shelly) Winstead and Timothy Smith; 4 great grandchildren, Ethan Hart, Nashville “Nash” Florian, Jackson Winstead and Fisher Smith; 2 nephews, Denby (Lou) Garick and Jimmie (Mary) Garick and their adult children, Bill, Mike and Missy; one niece, Joann Morton Patterson Franklin and son, Stephen (Jordan) Patterson and longtime friends for over 76 years, Helen and JT Watson and their children and families of Sandra, Jeff, Gregory and Harvey also, survived by other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, mother has requested any donations be made in her name to the following: Luke 4:18 church, Mobile, Alabama, The Shriners Children's Burn Hospitals and The Wounded Warrior Project.

A chapel service will be held at 2pm on Saturday, 01/23/2021 at Radney on Dauphin Street followed by a committal service at the grave site.
