Nita and Morris would've soon celebrated their 71st anniversary on June 26th, 2024. They began dating while Nita was still in high school and began their life together. The couple went on to wed at Ann Street Baptist Church.
Nita retired from the Social Security Administration after almost 20 dedicated years. In her retirement, she enjoyed spending her time crafting, antiquing, and finding yard sales to attend. She was also an active member of Dayspring Baptist Church and helped lead Sunday School Class. Nita was a devoted Christian and was a prayer warrior for many years. If you knew Nita, you knew that she was praying for you. She was loving and she was kind, but most of all, she loved her family - and she loved spending her time with the grandchildren and the great-grandchildren.
Nita was survived by her husband, Henry Morris Sr.; her two children, Vallie Northcutt Stanford (Randall) and Henry Morris Northcutt Jr.(Julie) ; her grandchildren, Brandon Stanford (Sasha), Ryan Stanford (Elizabeth), Henry "Trey" Northcutt III(Jessica), Thomas Northcutt (Monica), and Ainsley Kinder (Justen); eight great-grandchildren; and one sibling, Jan Smith.
