It is with great sadness that the family of Frances Lucile Small Easley announce her passing on Monday, November 28, 2022, at the age of 94. Surrounded by her family, she ascended to Heaven where she will reunite with her adoring husband, Charles B. Easley, her parents Marvin Brindley Small and Frances Lucile Stringer Small, her sister Loyall Taylor, and brother Marvin Brindley Small, Jr. Frances was born in Gadsden, Alabama, on January 4, 1928, and graduated from Gadsden High School. She received a degree in Interior Design from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, but her greatest gift, was her loving nature that made a tremendous impact on so many people’s lives. She immediately lit up the room with her sweet smile and infectious laughter. She played the piano beautifully, loved her family and friends, and filled her home with warmth and kindness. Frances had an undying faith in Jesus Christ and devoted her life to being His humble and faithful servant. We will miss her greatly, but we delight in the knowledge she is at peace and in the arms of our beloved Heavenly Father. She will be lovingly remembered by her four daughters and their husbands, Rebecca Easley Kidd and Donald D. Kidd, Deborah Easley Trickey and Kenneth E. Trickey, Patricia Easley Gore and Albert M. Gore, Elizabeth Easley Pitzer and Eric John Pitzer. She was precious “Nana” to her grandchildren, Christopher Burnette Gore, Ashley Kidd Gordon, Albert Michael Gore, Kenneth Bruce Trickey, Caroline Elizabeth Pitzer, Charles Parker Gore, and John Eric Pitzer II, and her three great-grandchildren Emma McKenzie Gore, Stuart Oak Gordon, and Harbour Davis Gordon. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her honor to the charity of your choice. At her request, a small private graveside service will be held for immediate family members. “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.” Psalm 91 “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.” Isaiah 43:2 “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you—not as the world gives, I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, and do not let them be afraid.” John 14:27
