Francis Anthony Edwards known to his friends and family as Jimmy, 81, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 20, 2019. Jimmy was a beloved son, brother and Uncle. He was born in Mobile AL. on August 6, 1938 and is survived by his sister Grace Redmond and her husband John Redmond Sr. nieces Vicki Lilley, Kim Potts, Mickey Lowe, Wanda Gail Edwards, Diane Little, Lisa Howell, Susie Williams and Stacey Capps and one nephew John Redmond Jr. And Other great nieces, great nephews and friends. Jimmy is preceded in death by his mother Voncile Burkett, Father Birtler Burkett, brother Billy Edwards and sister Bonnie Bush. Jimmy played a great role in recycling aluminum in the Mobile Alabama area. Jimmy loved to bowl and fish. Jimmy had a special way of making you feel special and had the most contagious laugh. To know Jimmy was to love him. Graveside services and interment are scheduled for Thursday, October24, 2019 at 2:00 PM in Mobile Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, Thursday from 1:00 - 2:00 PM.
