He grew up in Eight Mile, Alabama, where he attended Vigor High School. As a young man, Glenn grew up loving street rods and enjoyed the occasional drag race with his buddies. During their life journey together, his work took them to Gulfport, MS, Pearl, MS, Pensacola, FL, Mobile, AL, Monroe, LA, and Carthage, TX, before returning home to Semmes, AL in 1994. Glenn worked at United Gas Pipeline Company for thirty-five plus years before retiring. Upon moving back to Semmes, he joined the South Alabama Utilities Company where he worked many years.
