Gloria Maye Shirey, a native of Pascagoula, MS and current resident of Creola, AL, died Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at the age of 72. She retired from the Mobile Housing Board after many years of service; was an active member of Celebration Church; enjoyed crocheting and spending quality time with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Loyd Benford Shirey and Helen Jean Robinson Shirey; her daughter, Trudy St. Laurent and her brother, Frank Shirey. Her survivors include her spouse, Jim Landon; daughter, Noelle James (Anthony McGugin); her son, Heath Poole; two sisters, Phyllis (Douglas) Harwell and Deborah Smith; sister-in-law, Judy Shirey; three grandsons, Wyatt and Jaxston James and Damon McGugin; other relatives and friends. Funeral services, officiated by Brother Wes Hall, will be held Friday, April 19, 2019 at 12:00 Noon from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until service time. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
