Hazel McLaughlin Farnell, 98 years old, departed to her heavenly home on May 29,2024. She was greeted by her Savior, Perry S Farnell (Husband), Darryl S Farnell (Son) and Ronny E Hudson (Son-in-law). Her parents - Arthur and Clara McLaughlin and 3 Brothers were among the celebrants of her homecoming.
She was born and raised in Bollinger, AL and graduated from Southern Choctaw High School. After graduation, she moved to Mobile, AL and worked at GM&O Railroad until she married and started her family. She was an active member of Zion Baptist Church. After raisng her children, she embarked on a new career with Chestnut Sales, as bookkeeper and remained until her retirement. She was a 64 year member of OES , beginning in Grand Ada Chapter Crichton and ending in Hollinger's Island Chapter 480 OES.
Hazel M Farnell is survived by Darleen F Hudson, Delance (Sheila) Farnell and Janice Farnell. She was blessed with 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Deepest appreciation to her expert team of professionals with Southern Care Hospice and her former Kayliegh Jackson RN. Her caregivers, Melissa Hudson (granddaughter), Catherine Wright, Rose McGinnis, Katie Faulk, and Barabara Shumock for their care and support.
Pallbearers will be Donnie Farnell, Troy Hudson, Jimmy Mount, Bryan Clark, Dylan Farnell, George Farnell, and Honorary Pallbearer Charles Hillman.
Officiating will be Bro Bruce Moseley of Zion Baptist Church and Bro Mark Griffin of First Baptist Tillman's Corner.

Viewing will be held a Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Monday, June 3, 2024, 11:00am folllowed by Service at 12:00pm. Burial will follow at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
