Jabie Irene Hancock Lane departed this life peacefully at home on Friday, February 19, 2021. Jabie was born to the late Jim and Daisy Hancock of Monroeville AL on January 9, 1920 and Jabie recently celebrated her 101st birthday with her family at her longtime home in Chickasaw AL.
Her life will forever be cherished in the lives of her family. She leaves to cherish her memory: her daughter, LaJune Bosarge, her granddaughter Kimberly Jon Bosarge Davis, and grandson Kyle Lane Bosarge. Also, four grandsons: Keith Shirah, Joshua Davis, Alec Davis and Braydon Davis. As well as other family and friends that will miss her dearly.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John Thomas Lane, and her son Johnny Mack Lane.
Jabie was an outstanding local business owner. She was a strong business woman before business women were a popular breed. She owned many local businesses that set the way to a path of female business owners to follow her path. She was strong, successful and fierce in her career. She knew what she wanted and how to make it happen. Her legacy was admired by many and will be dearly missed by all.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday February 24, 2021 @ 11am at Mobile Memorial Gardens internment to follow at Mobile Memorial Gardens.
