ames Owen Richardson, of Mobile, AL, passed away May 26, 2024. James was born February 19, 1953 in Peoria, IL. James is preceded in death by his parents, Winfred Cleveland and Carolyn Joyce Richardson, his two brothers, Ray and Jerry Richardson, his sister, Jewell Richardson, and his loving wife of 51 years, Thelma Diana Richardson. James graduated from Pekin High School in 1971 and went on to serve in the US Army until 1978. James retired from the U.B.C. He leaves behind his two sons, Michael (Danniel) Richardson and Brian (Melinda) Richardson along with 9 grandchildren, Anthony Johnson, Alisha (Aaron) Kibby, Brandon (Annabelle) Tatum, Kymen and Peyton Richardson, and Bailey and Jared Weatherly, and 3 great grandchildren, Blake and Mackenzie Johnson and Oakley Kibby. He greatly enjoyed spending time with his family and entertaining people by singing and playing the guitar. Other things he enjoyed was cooking, fishing, watching Alabama play football, and repairing and collecting watches and clocks. His memory will forever be in our hearts.
