James William Lang, Jr., beloved husband, father and grandfather, left his residence in Mobile, AL on Tuesday, June 10, 2020 to live in Heaven. His wife and two sons were at his bedside. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 63 years, Barbara Ann Mull Lang; two sons, Dennis M. (Shellee) Lang and Keith Derek (Elise) Lang; four grandchildren, Denise Garvin, Brianne Harbison, Jordan and Adam Lang; four great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Bethany Garvin, Madelyn and Julius Harbison; one brother, Ronald (Carolyn) Lang; two sisters, Joann Lang (Robert) Palmer and Susan Lang Amerson; other relatives and friends. James was born in Pittsburgh, PA July 21, 1936 to James William Lang, Sr. and Hazel Ida Dickey Lang. The family moved to Pensacola, FL shortly after he was born. After graduation from Tate High School, he proudly served in the US Air Force for almost nine years. He then returned to Pensacola, FL to attend college using his GI Bill. Upon graduation from college he obtained employment with IBM Corporation in Huntsville, AL working at Marshall Space Flight Center on the Inertial Guidance System of the Saturn/Apollo program. When the space program was defunded, he accepted a position with Lockheed Martin Corporation at Ingalls Shipbuilding in Pascagoula, MS until his retirement. James was a member of Cloverleaf Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon for many years. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Lonnie Raymond Lang. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at 12:00 Noon from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday morning from 10:30 AM until service time. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens. Please comply with social distancing and facial masks are recommended.

A chapel service will be held at 12pm on Wednesday, 06/17/2020 from Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, followed by a committal service at the grave site
