Jan Sherrill Allen Saad passed away on October 14, 2022, in Mobile, Alabama surrounded by her loving family. Born October 28, 1947, Jan grew up in Theodore, Alabama and was a proud Theodore Bobcat, class of 1966. She married the love of her life on June 27, 1970, and raised four daughters. Jan was an avid mystery reader, a brilliant gift giver, and a fiercely competitive card player. She loved traveling, peach popsicles, and her morning coffee. She was incredibly loyal and mostly charming. Her gentle presence and her sense of humor will be missed everyday. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward “Whitey” and Genevieve Allen, her brother Edward “Sonny” Allen and her sister Darla Kay Newton, and her brother, James Lambert. She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Elias “E.J.” Saad and their daughters Jenifer (Charles) Simpson, Leigh-Ann (Matthew) Taylor, Elisha (Boris) Nicolas, and Victoria (Craig) Carroll; her grandchildren Nathan (Ash) Taylor, Andrew Simpson, Gus Taylor, Catherine Simpson, Gordon Taylor, Bailey Carroll, Zoe Taylor, John Carroll, Sadie Carroll, Ruby Taylor, Deborah Nicolas, Eloise Carroll, Soren Nicolas, and a much loved extended family; her dear friend Tiffany Harris; her siblings Kathy Kizziar, Carlyn Ehrhardt and Scott Eynard, who she was overjoyed to be reunited with later in life and many lifelong friends. Funeral services will be held at All Saints Episcopal Church on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at noon with graveside service immediately following at Mobile Memorial Gardens. After the services, a visitation and reception will be held at Five on Dauphin Street until 5:30pm. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to support Pulmonary Fibrosis Research at Brigham & Women’s Hospital.
