Janice Faye Schuler Catchot Mohler was born in New Orleans, Louisiana April 9, 1937. Her mother, Mazelle Morgan Schuler, and husband, Brick, lived in Ocean Springs, Mississippi. Faye attended Ocean Springs High School.
Faye was the matriarch of her family, running her home with precision while also attending and volunteering at the children’s extracurricular events. She worked as a preschool teacher, a church music department assistant, and a greeter for Carnival Cruise lines throughout her lifetime. Her volunteer efforts were exceptional, ask any member of the youth choir at Cottage Hill Baptist Church during the 70’s-90’s, or the choir leaders and members of Luke 4:18 Fellowship. Outside of the time spent working and volunteering, Faye loved to spend time at the beach. Life is better at the beach was a maxim true to her heart. After a long battle with dementia, Faye quietly went to be with the love of her life, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, January 20, 2024. She joined her husband, Stanley Mohler, her parents, and many other friends and family who have gone before her. Faye is survived by her children, Dean Mohler (Judy), Keith Mohler (Teri), Marvin Mohler (Karen), and Ellen Keyes (David); her grandchildren Dean Donegan, Sarah Mohler, Lucas Chartak (Carrie), Landon Chartak (Cynthia), Mauri Mohler, Park Mohler, Megan Cooper (Bryan), Morgan Mohler, Jordan Keyes (Heather), Jackson Keyes (Emma), Braden Keyes (Stacey), and Noah Keyes (Kurstin); and 21 great grandchildren.Phone: 251-661-1333
