Jessica Loren Smith went to be with the Father in Heaven on December 18, 2021. After a long battle with complications of her heart failing, she passed peacefully in her sleep at her home, where she wanted to be. She was greeted in Heaven by her Savior Jesus and so many she had loved, who went before her. Heaven gained a radiant beautiful soul, but more so, it got a lot brighter when she showed up. Jessica had such a huge vibrant, vivacious personality through life, that it required others who came into her path, in life, to take notes. When she entered the room, all eyes and ears gravitated to her. It was never a dull moment with her around. So why would Heaven for her be any different.
For anyone that knew Jessica, you know she treasured her children more than life itself. She had so much love to give and her babies received every ounce of it. Jessica was a dedicated mother first and foremost above anything else. If you want to see the best of the best of who Jessica was, you'll find it in each of her four children. When she spoke of her children, you could always hear her heart swelling with happiness and joy. If anyone knew how to brag about their kids, it was Jessica and she loved sharing how amazing she thought they were. To her, she had the best kids in the world. Being a mother, was her greatest adventure and biggest achievement. The intense love she shared with them will never die. She has left a legacy of love for and through her four children.
Jessica was born on August 23, 1983, in Mobile AL. and raised her children there also. One of Jessica's favorite things to do, besides being a mother, was vacationing and spending quality time with her family. The thousands of photos of memories she took with her family, is a testament to that. It brought her more joy than anything else life offered. She was looking forward to the next vacation they have planned. Jessica was so good at making friends. Over the years, she may have had some falling outs with some, but she always found a way to come back to those friendships and restore them. She will always be remembered as someone who would drop everything to help those she loved and those in need. Jessica will be immensely missed by all who love her and the memories we have all shared with her, will be kept close to our hearts.
Jessica is predeceased by her father Rev. George Smith Jr. and her nephew Chad Boden. She is survived by her four +1 children, Dylon Knowles, his girlfriend Madison Gill, Taysiana Proulx, Maximus Gentry and Hayden Smith. Her boyfriend of six years, James Gentry. Her mother, Martha Smith and stepmother, Cathy Smith of Mobile AL. Her sisters, Monica Smith of Pittsburgh PA, Stephanie Petty of Apex, NC, Danielle Brockman of Houston, Texas, Jennifer Fox of Apex, NC, her brothers Trey Smith and Sean Smith of Mobile AL, along with her 2 nieces and 5 nephews. And last but not least, an extended family of so many who she loved in life, that may not be her blood, but in her heart, she considered you her family. You all know who you are. If you asked yourself, "Is that me?" Yes, it's you.
