Jimmie Garvin, age 84, of Mobile passed away Thursday, June 20, 2019, at her home.
Jimmie was born and raised in Evergreen, Alabama and was a longtime resident of Mobile. She retired from AT&T after many years of service in the telephone industry.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Garvin; parents, Grady and Lena Hooks; sister, Treva Sellers; and brothers, Edward Hooks and Harry Hooks.
Survivors include her daughter, April Shook (David); son, Marvin Garvin Jr. (Darlene); grandchildren, Caleb Shook, Colby Shook, Katelyn Shook, Karly Shook, Jessica Davis, Michelle Holloway (Daniel), and Ashlea Leytham (Chris); great-grandchildren, Cole Holloway, and Madison Leytham.
Graveside services will be held Friday, June 28, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.

A chapel service will be held at 10am on Friday, 06/28/2019 from Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, followed by a committal service at the grave site.
