JoAnn was born on February 16, 1928 and went to be with those she loved who passed before her on February 9, 2022 at the age of 93. JoAnn was fondly called by those who knew her as BooBoo. She was born in Thomasville, AL to John H.Nettles Sr and Azilee Dunn Nettles. She lived a long life and loved family and outdoors, especially hunting, killing her last deer at her nephews, Scott Nettles, house in Leakesville, MS at the age of 87. She is preceded in death by her father, John H.Nettles Sr, her mother, Azilee Dunn Nettles, her husband Donald R. Luethy, brothers, James M. (Jimmie) Nettles Sr, John H. (baby John) Nettles Jr, Benjamin Joseph (Joe) Nettles Sr, sisters-in-laws Lois Steiner Nettles and Margaret Thelwell Nettles. She is survived by one son Donald J (Amy) Luethy, grandchildren Donald L. Luethy (Alissa), Heather (Mooney) Luethy and great-Grandchildren, Alexa and Donovan Luethy. She is also survived by sisters, Katherine June Nettles Clark and Azilee Joyce Nettles (Terry) Dumas and her sister-in-law Ann H.Nettles. She also leaves behind nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephew who were so blessed to have her in their lives.
JoAnn was loved and cherished by many and spent many wonderful years making memories to last a lifetime with each. She brought love and laughter to all who knew her but especially to her family. Her last few years were spent in Slidell, LA at the Greenbriar Nursing Home where they took excellent care of her and allowed her family to continue to enjoy her daily. Her niece Luanne Nettles lovingly carried out JoAnn's wishes and ensured that she was always surrounded by her loving family.
