Joann Theresa Doss 88, passed away peacefully into heaven on May 14, 2022, surrounded by family. Joann was a veteran of the United States Air Force and retired as an RN and Head of Nursing in Mobile, Alabama. A native of Braeholm, West Virginia, Joann was a dedicated Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother to her family.
Joann was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Esta Donnelly. She was survived by her children, Dale Doss Martin (Skipper), Debbie Doss Curtis (Dwight), Denise Doss Collins, Dianne Doss Graham, Guy Doss (Kim), Dana Doss Mullinix (William) and Michael Doss (Kerri); grandchildren, Quincy Curtis (Erin),
Magan Curtis Anderson, Aaron Collins (Melanie), John Michael Graham (Kara), Chase Doss, Taylor Doss, Heather Mullinix Garcia (Chris), Hayden Mullinix, Celia Doss, and Kristen Doss Rimmer (Matthew); and 14 great grandchildren.
Joann was proud of her service in the Air Force. She was featured as a model for the Air Training Command WAF Handbook for Air Force Women. After her discharge, Joann married and became Mother to seven children. While her children were school age, Joann earned her LPN license and later returned to
receive her license as an RN. If you ask her what her greatest accomplishments in life where she would
boastfully say her children whom she adored. Joann enjoyed spending time with her family, reading a good book, fishing and cooking Sunday dinner for whoever might stop by.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. followed by a service starting at 11:00 a.m. at Radney Funeral Home, 3155 Dauphin Street in Mobile, AL. The family has requested a private graveside service and interment
