
Joe Dennis Dill peacefully entered the arms of our Lord on the afternoon of Tuesday, June 10th, surrounded by his beloved family. Born on December 13th, 1947, Joe led a life marked by service and devotion. After graduating high school and spending two years in college, Joe served four years in the U.S. Navy as a gunner's mate, proudly contributing to the Vietnam War effort. Following his honorable service, he embarked on a long and successful career as a cable splicer with BellSouth, now known as AT&T. Joe retired in management from AT&T in 1999 and continued to share his expertise with CenturyTel until his second retirement in 2013. Family was at the heart of Joe's life. He cherished every moment spent with his wife and children and had a particularly special bond with his granddaughter, Avery. Many of their most treasured memories revolve around joyful boat rides that he orchestrated, each one a testament to his love and dedication. Joe was known for his sweet and gentle spirit, a demeanor that left a lasting impact on all who knew him. He will be profoundly missed by many. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Flora Mae Dill; brothers, Charles "Bo" Dill and Bill Dill; sister, Betty Dill; and son, Patrick Dill. He is survived by his cherished wife, Elizabeth "Ellen" Dill; children, Christopher Dill (Theresa), Thomas Dill, and Jessica Mills (Nicholas); granddaughter, Avery Dill; upcoming grandson, Roth Mills; brother, Jimmy Dill; sister, Barbara Davis; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.

I am sorry to learn of Joes passing, I was working for him at Bell South when I retired in 97. He was a good man and easy to work for.The highest compliment that I know is that he was a good MAN.
