Joel Cole Snider (Joe) a dedicated husband, father, grandfather and friend, passed away on August 14, 2022 in Mobile, Alabama. Joe was born January 3, 1934, in Atlanta, GA to Charles and Minnie Snider. He graduated from high school, then enlisted in the United States Navy and served in the Korean War. After leaving the Navy he started his career with Bell South Telephone Company, where he continued to work for 30 years plus before retiring in 1990. Joe and Sue married on February 14, 1977, and started a blended family of 9 children. They started their new adventure in Jacksonville, Fl, from there they moved several time and settled in Mobile. Joe enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved to watch movies, and Gil made sure he supplied him with all the newest releases, which has amounted to quite a collection. He also enjoyed collecting coins, locks & keys from all over the world. He went to breakfast every Wednesday for fellowship with his friends. He was the oldest of the group and I understand he was quite the comedian. If one was giving him a hard time, he knew how to give that right back. He loved his church and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dawes for many years. Joe is preceded in death by his parents Charles and Minnie Snider, brother, Charles Snider and William (Bill) Snider, sister, Dorothy Anderson, daughters, Debbie Owens, Karen Krum and Melinee Megel. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Sue Snider, daughters, Becky Street, Debbie Porter (Hank), Melissa Luna, Jan Phillips (Michael), Sonya Jones and son Donny Lundy (Vee). Grandchildren Julie, Jennifer, Jessica, Terri, Jeremy, Stephanie, Jacob, Justin, Nikki, Whitney, Joshua, Christopher, Leah, Lauren, Isaac, Brittany, Tiffany, Travis, Kirsten, Zack, and Sarah and numerous great-grandchildren and extended family friends, and one Honey.

A precious man that we were priviledged to be fellow church members with for several years. He and his wife Mrs. Sue were Christian examples to everyone who knew them. We cherish our memories with him. Heaven continues to get sweeter and sweeter.......
We send our sympathy and prayers in the loss of our Union Brother, Joel.
