John Floyd Warren

John Floyd Warren, of Chickasaw, Alabama, passed away peacefully at home on the morning of April 24, 2026. He was born on March 12, 1932, in Florala, Alabama, to Mose and Maggie Warren. Mr. Warren lived almost his entire life in Chickasaw. He served honorably in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict from 1950 to 1952 and left the service with the rank of Sergeant. Following his military service, he worked for Scott Paper Company, where he retired as a Division Manager. He later continued working with the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office and then managed security for Premier Medical in Mobile, retiring fully in 2015. Mr. Warren was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Chickasaw for more than 60 years, where he served as a deacon. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mose and Maggie Warren; his wife, Nellie Freeman Warren; his son, John Floyd Warren, Jr.; and his two brothers and two sisters. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He is survived by his sons, Kenneth N. Warren, Steven E. Warren, Ronald E. Warren, and John F. Warren III.

Family graveside services will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Mobile Memorial Gardens in Mobile, Alabama.
