John Blair "Jack" Hamlin passed away on Sunday, September 14, 2025, surrounded by his family. He was born on March 7, 1947, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to J. Blair Hamlin and Sarah Louise Adams Hamlin. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Clair Partridge Hamlin; two sons: Adam Blair Hamlin (Kristin) and Austin Baker Hamlin (Samantha); seven Hamlin grandchildren: Mason, Madison, Jackson, John Blair, Thomas, Louise, and Hunter. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sarah and Blair Hamlin; an infant sister, Nancy Hamlin; and his sister, Susan H. Vignes. He will be deeply missed by a wide circle of extended family and cherished friends whose lives were touched by him in many ways. Jack was happiest while reading, doing yard work, or sitting on the porch at the river.
