John McArthur Doggett, born June 13, 1942, passed away peacefully at his home on November 21, 2021 at the age of 79.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Ben and Eva Doggett, Uncle and Aunt Lee and Mary Barefield (who raised him), brother: Harvie Dogette, son Mike Doggett, and step grandchild Kyle Doggete.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 39 years, Mildred Ryals Doggett. Daughters Lisa and Djuane Doggett, three stepchildren Ronald Doggette (Debbie), Donnie Doggette (Diane), Treva Duke (Leslie), several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by his precious Shih Tzu, Aimee.
John joined the United States Navy at the early age of 17 where he served twenty years and retired as an E6.

Funeral service will be held Monday, November 29, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
