John Robert Armstrong age 71 from Mobile Alabama died on August 20, 2021 at a local hospice.
John is survived by his Son Donovan (Robin) Armstrong, Sister Patricia Armstrong and Brother William Armstrong. 4 Grandchildren, Meadow Armstrong, Elizabeth Armstrong, Vanessa Stevens, Quintin Stevens and one great grandchild, Aubree Stevens. John was pre-deceased by his parents Josie L. and John E. Armstrong.
Prior to his retirement, John was employed by Coca -Cola Consolidated as a Salesman. John was a Vietnam veteran and served in the US Air Force as an Air Passenger Specialist from 1969- 1973. He loved watching and playing baseball and in 1966 played on the National Little League All Star team. John was an excellent pool player and played in the international pool tournament in Las Vegas several years. He also could play a mean saxophone; he was a member of the Theodore high school band and in the mid 1960's played in a local band. But most of all, he was an avid Alabama Football fan; he never missed a chance to watch or go to a game and to shout, ROLL TIDE!!!!

There will be a graveside celebration of John's life at 12:00 pm on Thursday August 26th at the Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
