Joyce Wright – an 88 year-old native of Atlanta, Georgia and resident of Mobile, Alabama passed away at her home on Saturday, May 25, 2024. She retired from the University of South Alabama as an executive secretary after 27 years of service. She loved flowers and working in her yard, but the greatest passion in her life was her family.
Mrs. Wright was preceded in death by her parents, James Roland and Nancy Kaheley Roland, and husband of 53 years, Dave Wright. She is survived by her children, Sheryl Dodge (Michael) and Doug Wright (Laura); grandchildren, Kimberly Lambert (Trent), Kristin Lucas (Logan), Noah Dodge, and Brandi Wright; step-grandchildren, Brad Cowser and Katelyn Cowser; great-grandchildren, Tyler Lucas, Anslee Lucas, Layton Lucas, Jack Lambert, and William Lambert; step-great-grandchildren, Summer Cowser, Taytum Cowser, Aurora Cowser, Sebastian Vaini, and Theodore Vaini; brother, Thomas L. Roland (Cookie); many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street on at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 31, 2024. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the service hour. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
