Joyce M. Torgerson went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 15, 2020. She retired from the Mobile Public School System as a special education teacher. Her retirement years were spent doing music, art, crafts and camping mostly in the Smoky Mountains. She was a life long member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lois and Olaf Torgerson and survived by cousins, Thomas and Virginia Lott and Evelyn Dalby and many other cousins. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church in her memory. The family will receive friends at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Thursday, October 22, 2020 at 1pm, followed by the service at 2pm. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens. If attending, please comply with social distancing guidelines. Facial masks are highly recommended.

A chapel service will be held at 2pm on Thursday, 10/22/2020 from Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, followed by a committal service at the grave site.
