Judy Rush - Mobile Memorial Gardens

Judy Rush

May 13, 2020
On Friday, May 8th, 2020, Judy Rush, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend passed away at 74 years of age. Judy Brannan Rush was born on September 10, 1945, in Jasper, Alabama----the daughter of Bob and Thelma Brannan of Chickasaw, Alabama. On September 10, 1965, Judy married the love of her life----Charles Wesley Rush, Jr. Two sons were born out of that love: Charles Wesley Rush, III, and Jason Brannan Rush. Judy exemplified all the virtues of the Proverbs 31. She was everything a wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend should be. She will forever be remembered for her kindness, love and devotion. She blessed her husband, children, grandchild and family, as well as all those around her. May we all demonstrate our love, and the love of Christ, as well and as deeply as she did. Judy was passionate about studying God's Word, sharing God's Word through teaching, the deacons' ministry to widows and widowers, as well as being part of the staff at Redemption Church. She also had many hobbies, which included growing orchids for pleasure and show. This is in addition to her being a member and Secretary of The Mobile Orchid Society, as well as a member of The Gulf Coast Orchid Society. She enjoyed spending time in her greenhouse (a.k.a., "playhouse") and organic gardening, as well as reading and researching various topics of interest. She was preceded in death by her parents Bob and Thelma Brannan, and her brother Austin Brannan (Kaki Gilmore Brannan). Judy is survived by her husband Charles, Jr., her sons Wes, Jason (Amy Hollon Rush), and her grandson Parker; her brother Carey Brannan (Faye Cobb Brannan, deceased) ; Jan Fernandez Brannan, family and countless friends who will miss her deeply. In order to keep friends and family safe during this time of uncertainty, the family requests that only family members attend the service at the worship center of Redemption Church, Saraland, AL., on Wednesday, May 13th, at 12:00 p.m. Instead, the service will be live-streamed via Redemption Church website (www.goredemption.com). However, the family would like to invite any and all friends to gather for the internment at Mobile Memorial Gardens at approximately 1:45 p.m. The graveside committal service may be seen live on the Radney Funeral Home Facebook site. Lastly, the family would like to request that in lieu of flowers donations be made to The Judy Rush Memorial Fund at Redemption Church.
1945-2020
A graveside service will be held.
