June Oberkirch Schilling passed away peacefully on Monday July 14, 2025 at the age of 94. Mrs. Schilling was born on June 5, 1931 in Mobile , AL. She attended St. Joseph Catholic Elementary School and was a graduate of Bishop Toolen High School. June worked for Catholic Charities and was a member of the Little Flower Golden Age Club for many years. She loved playing Bing0, card games and socializing with her friends. She was a devoted wife and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mrs. Schilling was preceded in death by her husband, Harry F. Schilling; her parents Wilson Joseph Oberkirch, Sr. and Sadie Watson Oberkirch; siblings Wilson Joseph Oberkirch, Jr., Gladys Oberkirch Woolsey, James Ross Oberkirch, Sr. and Virginia Oberkirch Egan. She is survived by her sons, Patrick Joseph (Rene’) Mead and Kenneth Wayne (Karen) Mead; sister Sadie Oberkirch (Bert) Ardoyno and sister-in-law Francis Laurence Oberkirch; six grandchildren, Samantha Mead Williams, Jacob Elliot (Brittany) Mead, Elizabeth Brooke Mead, Ethan Joseph (Heather) Mead, Nichole Mead (Gianna) Bacchetti and Jesse Samuel Mead; six great grandchildren, Avery Williams, Kohen Williams, Elliot Mead, Carter Mead, Houston Mead and Cooper Mead; nieces, nephews and beloved friends.

Visitation will begin at 9:00 A.M. followed by praying the Rosary at 9:30 A.M. and Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, July 21, 2025 at Little Flower Catholic Church. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
