Katy Alicia Jones, age 52, a resident of Grand Bay, Alabama, passed away on January 31, 2026. Katy was born on March 1, 1973.
Katy was known for her unforgettable personality. She loved her family deeply and was devoted to those closest to her. For most of her life, she was lovingly known as “Aunt KK” to her nieces and nephews—a title she wore with pride and joy. Later in life, she became a proud mother to her son, Luke, who was truly the light of her life.
Katy is preceded in death by her father, Chalmus Leslie Brinkman Jr.; her sister, Lora Leigh Brinkman (Sutton); and her grandparents, James Jackson Elmore and Anna Virginia Elmore, Chalmus Leslie Brinkman Sr. and Annie Lucille Brinkman. She is survived by her beloved son, Luke Jones, and Luke’s father, Edwin Luther Jones III (Eddie); her mother, Karen Ann Nungesser (Pete); her siblings Kathy Horton (Pat) and Bobby Brinkman (Deedra); and her cherished nieces and nephews: Crystal Sutton (Justin), Kyle Henry (Brittni), Courtney Cherry (Aaron), Allie Hall (Tanner), Trey Horton (Celsey), Anna Horton, Charlie Brinkman, and Cullen Brinkman. She is also survived by her beloved aunts and uncles, and many great-nieces and great-nephews who loved her dearly. Katy will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and always loved.

Visitation will be held at Serenity Funeral Home on Friday, February 6, 2026, with family 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, and family receiving friends from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A graveside service will follow at Mobile Memorial Gardens.
