Kenneth “Butch” Guidry was born October 25, 1945, in Memphis, TN; son of Sam and Louise Guidry. Growing up in Memphis, in 1966 he married the love of his life, Sandra Guidry. They relocated to Mobile, AL in 1979, where they raised their family. Sandra passed away in 2023, after 56 years of marriage. In 1965 he joined the U.S. Marine Corps where he served as a reservist until 1971. He spent his career at the Army Corp of Engineers as a hydroelectrical engineer until he retired in 2000.
He was preceded in death by his parents Sam and Louise Guidry, brother Norman Guidry and sister Shirley Schrock. Butch is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, B.J. and Tammy Guidry of Wilmer, AL and daughter, Lauren Guidry of Grand Bay, AL; six grandchildren, Brittany, Hannah, Darian, Haley, Collin and Garrett; seven great grandchildren; a brother, Sammy Guidry of Wilmington, Delaware and a sister,Margaret Ottle of Estero, FL.

A graveside memorial service with military honors will be held at Mobile Memorial Gardens, 6040 Three Notch Road, Mobile, AL 36619, June 18th at 2:00. All family members and friends are requested to meet at the cemetery entrance inside of the parking lot by Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.
