Larry Erling Haagensen was born September 24, 1947 and departed this life on July 5, 2021. Mr. Haagensen was a native of Mobile, Al. and ran many successful businesses to include a gas station, "The Why Not" bar, the Twilite Motel, and most recently Westside Amusement running strong since 1991. He brought life into every room he entered and never missed a chance to make you laugh. Throughout his life, he was a hard-working businessman with unwavering loyalty. He loved his flowers and gardening, fishing, the beach, and most recently making his Westside Amusement keepsakes that can be seen in many places from Mobile to Pensacola. His favorite hobby was giving out the pens, lighters, and flashlights he made for Westside Amusement. The son of Trygve Haagensen and Nell White Blink. Survived by his sons Will (and Laurie) and Scott (and Aleece) Haagensen, Sister Linda (and Jimmy) Watson, and niece Lauren (and Matt) Childs, and grandchildren Madelyn, Silas, Signe, and Madison Haagensen His friends and collective family Curtiss Waite, Mike Foster, and Arthur Silloway who have so lovingly and devotedly cared for him over the past few years. Also loved and survived by his beloved babies Jackson, Blue, Moose, and Baby. Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home will have visitation Saturday, July 10, 2021, at 1:00 PM followed by an internment at the cemetery.
