Leo Fendley Bedsole Jr., a longtime resident of Mobile Alabama, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2021, at the age of 89.Leo was born in Thomaston Alabama and grew up in Greensboro Alabama. After attending the University of Alabama he joined the U.S. Navy. In 1956 he married the love of his life, Joan Hunt Bedsole. For over twenty years he taught Refrigeration and Air Conditioning at Southwest State Technical College until his retirement in 1988. That same year he welcomed his first grandchild. Bream fishing and watching Alabama football were two of his favorite things to do. Leo and Joan were active members at Dauphin Way Baptist church for decades. In recent years they attended Redemption Church.Leo is survived by his wife Joan, daughters Jan Bailey (Roger), Shirley Hughes (Eric), and son Mike Bedsole (Lea Anne), four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.A graveside service will be held June 7, 2021, at 1:00pm at Mobile Memorial Gardens.
