Leonard Ray Lucas, 86, born, March 22, 1934 in Festus, MO., passed away on August 23, 2020 in Mobile, AL. Mr. Lucas graduate from Festus High School in 1952. He was a United States Navy Veteran serving in the Korean War. Mr. Lucas married the love of his life, Ola Laverne Jackson Lucas. Mr. Lucas established L+M Tire Company in 1959 and was the owner and operator for more than 60 years. Mr. Lucas was a loving and devoted husband, father grandfather and great grandfather. He loved to travel with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Delpha Lola Scott Lucas; brothers, Lloyd Lucas, Glenn Lucas and Ralph (Verna) Lucas; brother-in-law, Lindell Barks. Surviving are his loving and devoted wife of 65 years, Laverne Jackson Lucas; son Bartley Ray (Carolyn) Lucas, Sr.: grandchildren, Bartley Ray (Iryna) Lucas, Jr., Matthew Lucas and Nathan (Allison) Lucas; great grandchildren, Kasper Lucas, Jackson Lucas and Jon Elliot Lucas; a sister, Margaret Lucas Barks; sister-in-law, Genny Lucas; lifelong friends, Mary Morrow and family, Tony Pilgrim, sister-in-laws, Lois Payne and Dorothy Turner, also, survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives, family and friends. Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Radney Funeral Home, Mobile, AL., Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2020 at noon in the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home, Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens, Mobile, Al.
