Lillie (Peggy) Reeves Simms passed away on November 21,2019. Peggy was born on November 25, 1935. She graduated from Murphy in 1953 and married Lorise (Pinky) Simms in July of 1955.
Peggy worked at Woodcock Elementary school for 25 years. She was known for going above and beyond at Woodcock and in 1989 was awarded the Heart of Gold Award. Peggy enjoyed gardening, pets, talking to friends and baking blueberry muffins.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents George and Lillie Reeves and by her beloved husband Pinky. She is survived by her daughter Peggy Ruth Lund and her son-in-law Ed Lund. She will also be fondly remembered by family and friends.
The family would like to thank the staff at Gulf Coast Rehab and Nursing home and Covenant Care Hospice for taking care of Peggy the last few years. Special thanks also to Peggy’s cousin Linda Perry and her husband Roger for their special care of Peggy.
A graveside service will be held at Mobile Memorial Gardens on Monday, December 2, 2019 at noon.
