Obituary
Linda Hatcher Ammons, age 71, of Mobile, Alabama, passed away on Saturday, July 31, 2021. Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.
Linda was a member of Dauphin Way United Methodist Church, where she was active in the choir and the prayer shawl ministry. She was a retired school teacher, having spent 42 years teaching at Alba High School, Davidson High School, and UMS-Wright Prepatory School. She was also a member of Kappa Kappa Iota, a national teachers sorority. Linda cherished her family and loved her church family and teaching. She touched countless lives and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Linda is survived by her husband, Doug Ammons; niece, Fran Stikes; nephew, Eddie Stikes and wife, Debbie; 2 great-nephews; 5 great-great nieces and nephews; and a host of cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Lorraine Hatcher and sister, Mary Stikes.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 5, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Dauphin Way United Methodist Church with the service starting at 12:00 p.m. Private burial will take place at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
