Loretta co-owned Phillips Flower Nursery in Mobile, Alabama for 10 years. Her favorite flower was a rose. She was a hairdresser for 15 years in Mobile and always had a full client list around Mardi Gras. Loretta was known for her beautifully manicured nails, her joy for gardening, being a passionate dog lover, a fan of The Golden Girls (which she shared with her daughters and granddaughters), an avid reader, a collector of costume jewelry and she enjoyed driving to Biloxi to play the Sizzling 7’s slots. She taught all of her children and grandchildren to play Yahtzee and THEY fondly remember meals prepared BY Loretta and her best friend Sophia “Pat” Delacer. She and Pat became friends when they were 15 years old and remained friends until Loretta’s death. However, her greatest joy was raising her children and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
