Louise Walters Ginn, 99, a longtime resident of Mobile, AL, exchanged her earthly life for eternal joy on April 13, 2020. Louise was born on March 26, 1921, in Princess Anne, Virginia to the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Walters. She was a strong, independent woman, and she wore a beautiful smile every day.
She was an avid Duplicate Bridge player, in which she earned her Life Masters. She loved to travel, bowl, read, cook, and loved watching sports.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life, best friend, and husband of 59 years, Marvin Ginn. Before he died in 1998, he was a CWO4 in the United States Coast Guard for thirty years, and their adventures included living in North Carolina, New York, Massachusetts, Newfoundland, and Bermuda; his last duty was helping to set up the Mobile Air Station. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Pauline Peterson; her parents, Minnie & Joseph Walters; and daughter, Carol Jo Ginn.
Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her precious children, Donna Kruszona (Skip) of San Diego, CA, Linda Hyatt of Mobile, AL, Joey Ginn (Michelle) of Lynn Haven, FL, and Michael Ginn (Tiffany) of Fairhope, AL. She also leaves behind a loving niece, June Morris (Jimmy) of Virginia Beach, VA; 9 grandchildren: Tanya Pettersen (Carl), Buzz Kruszona (Sarah), Katie Walp (Jeff), Beth Lester (Jeff), Becky Reibling (Jarrett), Hunter Ginn, Hannah Ginn, Baylor Ginn & Carson Ginn; and 8 great grandchildren: Nick Carter, Michael Walp, Brooks Pettersen, Bailey Lester, Davis Pettersen, Matthew Walp, Brooklyn Reibling, & Blaire Reibling; as well as a host of cherished caretakers and friends.
Private graveside services will be held at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery on Thursday, April 16, 2020. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to a charity of your choice in Louise’s honor.
