Lucy M. Collins – loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, an 87 year-old native of Heidelberg, MS and a longtime resident of Saraland passed away on Monday, July 3, 2023. Mrs. Collins formerly worked for the Mobile County Public School System for seven years and retired from Gayfer’s Department Store after 20 years of service working at the Clinique counter. She was a longtime member of Bayou Sara Baptist Church. Mrs. Collins loved playing cards and will always be remembered for her love of life feisty personality, as evidenced by her ever present “red lipstick.”
She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl Ransom Huddleston and Myrtle Nichols Huddleston; husband of 51 years, C.L. Collins; and son-in-law, Steve Williamson. Mrs. Collins is survived by her daughters, Cindy Kelly (Rick) and Teresa Williamson; grandchildren, Christin Bumstead (Mike), Richard Kelly (Megan), Cari Fike (Hugh), Melodie Sarubin (Mark), and Tyler Williamson; great-grandchildren, Collins Bumstead, Lucy Bumstead, Jackson Kelly, Harper Kelly, Charlotte Kelly, Lyle Fike, Clara Fike, and Hugh Fike III; siblings, Patsy Walters, Billy Huddleston (Diane), and Bobby Huddleston (Elaine); nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland on Monday, July 10, 2023, at 10 a.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the service hour. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens
