Mabel McKenzie Morgan – age 91, passed away on January 28, 2024, surrounded by her family. On July 4, 1952, she married the love of her life, Dothan Elroy Morgan, in Evergreen, Alabama and made Mobile their home.
She was a member of Semmes First Baptist Church and a devout Christian throughout her life. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was a wonderful homemaker. She loved her family and spending time with them. She will be missed by all.
Mabel was preceded in death by her parents, Elbert Joseph and Para Lee House McKenzie; husband, Dothan Elroy Morgan, Sr.; and siblings, James E. McKenzie, Voncile Ridgeway, Mary Morrison, Margaret Kitchens, Susie Cook, Dorthy McMillan, and Jane Whistler.
Mabel is survived by her loving and devoted children and grandson, Scarlett O’Linda Morgan, Dothan E. Morgan, Jr., Shannon Morgan Bangerter, and Phillip Wayne Bangerter, Jr.; the family dog, Cotton; other relatives and friends.
