Marcus Alton Lambert, age 97, born in Andalusia, AL June 12, 1923, and a longtime resident of Eight Mile, AL, died Friday, July 24, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. He was a US Army veteran and retired iron worker. He enjoyed fishing and farm animals, especially his chickens. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son; one brother; one sister; one grandchild, 2 great-grandchildren and Mary Elizabeth Dearman Lambert, the mother of their children. His survivors include five children, David Marcus Lambert, Priscilla Kim Cupp (Bob), Terry Joyce Betbeze (“Jimbo”), Laurie Lee Turberville (Barry) and Nancy Dian McDonald (Brad); numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. Services will be private.
