Margaret Baker, 97, passed away on March 16, 2019 at her daughter's home. Margaret was born October 21, 1921 in Springfield, IL but lived most of her life in Mobile. She retired from Courtaulds in McIntosh where she worked in the color lab. Margaret was an avid NASCAR fan. When Kyle Busch won, she smiled for days and drove the family crazy bragging about it. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Sidney, her parents, Jeanne and Tom May, one sister, Lucille Welford, and one brother, Tommy May. She is survived by her loving daughter, Sylvia Birch, son-in-law, Peter Birch, two grandsons who were the loves of her life, Tim and Jay Chimento, two sisters, Deloris Wallace, Betty Ebel and one brother Glenn May, 11 great grandchilden, 8 great, great grandchildren, 8 nieces and her beloved cat, Mai Mai. Margaret will be sorely missed by her family and friends as she brought so much love and generosity to all. A celebration of life will occur at Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street Wednesday, March 20, 2019 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. Family will also receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at Little Flower Catholic Church at 2053 Government St. with Funeral Mass to follow. Grave side services will be at Memorial Gardens. Serving as Pallbearers are Joey Mizell, Colby Huff, Quinn Nichols, Joseph Chimento, Tim Chimento and Jay Chimento. Honorary pallbearing will be Dr. Christopher Gamard. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Throat Cancer Foundation or Little Flower Catholic Church.

A church service will be held at 12pm on Thursday, 03/21/2019 from Little Flower Catholic Church, followed by a committal service at the grave site.
