Margaret Virginia (Jones) Vickery

Margaret Cornelison Vickery, passed away at 90 years old peacefully at Carillion Oaks Assisted Living on Wednesday, August 25, 2021. She was born in Cullman, Alabama. She is preceded in death by her husband Sherman Cornelison; sisters, Lula Mae Uptagrafft, and Annie Beckman; Parents, Lewis and Gertie Jones; Stepfather Flary Wainwright; and late husband, A.C. Vickery. She is survived by her children, Deborah (Richard) Crowe, Pam Stewart, and Cie Rodgers. She had numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She retired after 25 years with M.&I. Ford Tractor Company as their office manager. She was a faithful member of the Plateau Church of Christ in Prichard for many years when it relocated to Saraland, Alabama becoming Central Church of Christ. She then moved to Daphne and became a member of Summerdale Church of Christ. She loved cooking, spending time with family and socializing with friends. She was very easy going and had such a caring and compassionate heart. She loved the Lord and demonstrated his Love through serving others. The family would like to give a special "Thank You" to Carillon Oaks Assisted Living, and their management and nursing staff for their love and care over the past 6 months. Also, a special "Thank You" to Kare-in-home Health and Hospice Center and their staff. Honorary pallbearers will be Cade Bowden, Jaselyn Credeur, and Jaxon Steward. Services will be officiated by Bro. Billy Lambert of Summerdale Church of Christ. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

The family will receive friends of Saturday, August 28, 2021, at 9:00 am to 10:00 am at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with graveside to follow.
