Marie Christian “Bonnie” Albright Rowell – a native and resident of Mobile, Alabama, died Monday, February 11, 2019 at her residence after a lengthy battle with cancer. Bonnie attended Julius T. Wright School for Girls and graduated high school in New York City. She was a professional dancer in New York and across the country with the national company of “Bye Bye Birdie.” She was a travel agent for most of her life and enjoyed baking and spending time with her grandchildren and great-granddaughter. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, James Roy Albright and Mary Jane Cawthon Albright; and two sisters, Mary Jane Albright Ernest and Rose Marie Albright. Survivors include her husband of 24 years, Donnie N. Rowell; two daughters, Jessica Lamour (Frederic) Petit and Francoise H. Lamour; two sisters, Margaret Albright (George) Black and Jessica Albright (George) Murphy; three grandchildren, Alexandre Petit, Alexis Marie Conner, and Nathalie Petit; one great-granddaughter, Ava Grace Lowery; nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Bonnie’s family wishes to express their thanks and appreciation to the nursing staff of Kindred Hospice for their loving care of Bonnie in her final days. The family will receive friends from 10 A.M. until 11 A.M. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with a funeral service to follow at 11 A.M. Inurnment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1110 Montlimar Drive, Suite 420, Mobile, AL 36609.
