Marilynn Valencia Bell, was born in Washington D.C on November 4, 1967 to Dr. Raymond Bell, Sr and Effie Patricia Wilkerson Bell.Marilynn spent her childhood years in Syracuse, New York where she graduated from Franciscan Academy in 1985. After graduation, she moved to Mobile, where she attended Spring Hill College; earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications in 1989. Following graduation, Marilynn worked for a local communications company and operated her own small business. She concluded her career at Mobile Medical & Diagnostic Center, where she held many positions over the years.Beyond her love for her sons, Patrick and Ethan, Marilynn loved life. She was an avid reader and music enthusiast. She spent countless hours reading and listening to live performances of renowned musicians and actors. She also loved to partake in different foods especially, Mexican, Italian, and Mediterranean dishes, many of which she regularly prepared. She also enjoyed keeping in touch with her many friends and relatives through social media. Many of her favorite past times were spent with her good friends Zsaquez, Renata, Angela, and Frances. Prior to her college graduation she met the love of her life Gabriel McKenzie. Marilynn and Gabe enjoyed more than three decades of a loving relationshipShe is preceded in death by her mother Effie Patricia Wilkerson Bell; maternal grandparents, Samuel Wilkerson and Mattie Wilkerson; paternal grandparents; Ralph and Georgia Bell; and step brother, Albert “Tommie” Wilson.She survived by her two devoted sons; Patrick Gabriel Mckenzie and Ethan Russell Mckenzie of Mobile, AL; her father Dr. Raymond L. Bell Sr. of Mobile, AL: Her siblings Raymond (Shermonica)Bell, Jr., Russell (Candra) Bell , Raesheena (Qwuanyel) Rodgers, Raiquetta Bell, Alex Gilmore, and Alexis (Aaron) Brown; step brother, James Wilson; uncle, Larry Bell, Sr.; aunts, Winetta (Clarence) Boxley, Cheryl Poe, Jeanette Bell, Margaret Bell and a host of loving nieces, nephews, and other relatives; devoted friends; Zsaquez Snowden, Renata Montgomery, Angela July, and Frances Taylor; loving companion Gabriel McKenzie, Sr.
