Marlene Anderson Hickey went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 17, 2019. She was born in Brooklyn, New York on January 21, 1932, to Alfred and Ida Mae Anderson. She was a long-time resident of Mobile, Alabama, and lived the last seven years in Birmingham, Alabama. She was a child of God, and a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be greatly missed by her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard L. Hickey; and one sister, Norma Cruthirds. Her survivors include one son, Mark Hickey; three daughters, Karen (Clark) Womble, Phyllis (Keith) Diamond, and Lisa (Steve) Tew; one sister, Evelyn Kennair; nine grandchildren, Jason (Tara) Hickey, Jessica (Chad) Clary, Jacob Hickey, Jennifer (Zach) Keller, Laura (Mitch) Watkins, Christopher (Melissa) Diamond, Courtney Diamond, Elizabeth Tew, and Emme Grace Tew; ten great-grandchildren, Ethan Hickey, Austin Hickey, Logan Clary, Edward Keller, Beau Keller, Ava Watkins, Abigail Diamond, Mya Diamond, Ian Diamond, and Elliana Diamond; nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 20, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Visitation will be at 1:30 p.m. until service in the chapel. Flowers will be accepted, or donations can be given in memory of Marlene to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Mobile, 1626 Springhill Ave. Mobile Al 36604, www.rmhcmobile.org.

A chapel service will be held at 2pm on Friday, 09/20/2019 from Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, followed by a committal service at the grave site.
